93X Brotherhood Beer

Cumulus Media’s hard rock station in Minneapolis is KXXR “93X.” 93X boasts huge ratings and is home to a morning show that has garnered an extraordinarily loyal fanbase. These fans are known as the “Brotherhood.” 93X wanted to create a beer for the Brotherhood, to be sold traditionally as well as at all of their sponsored events. They teamed up with Lift Bridge Brewing to make a working-man’s beer—something honest and drinkable, but the opposite of a “craft beer.” Studio2 was brought on for design and branding expertise. We came up with a metal-head inspired brand and a can design that includes all the iconography important to heavy metal, from flying-V guitars to grilled sausages. This release was an immediate hit in the Twin Cities with numerous press mentions of our design work.
